2. OLD TIRES. THE MOSQUITO SEASON IS COMING AND MAY SPREAD THE FLUE. PLEASE CHECK YOUR PROPERTY AND REMOVE OLD TIRES. THE OLD TIRES HOLD WATER WHICH ATTRACTS MOSQUITOS AND THEY CARRY THE FLU AND MAY CARRY THE ZIKA VIRUS. .

2. MORSE AVENUE BRIDGE EXCAVATION. UGI COMPLETED THE PROJECT LAST WEEK. FINAL PAVING TO MAIN STREET WILL BE DELAYED UNTIL SPRING.
3. THOMPSON PROPERTY (LOCATED ON 43RD STREET). REPAIRS IN PROGRESS.
4. BURNT BUILDING ON MAIN STREET. NO PLANS SUBMITTED BY OWNERS TO DATE. ALSO, MAIN BUILDING ON LOT IS IN DANGEROUS CONDITION. SOLICITOR TO COMMENT.

6. SIMPSON SEWER FUND UPDATE. ADDITIONAL REQUESTS RECEIVED TO PUBLISH THE DELINQUENT LIST. SOLICITOR MAILED STRONGER LETTERS TO DELINQUENT ACCOUNTS ON DECEMBER FIRST. FROM: NANETTE BERGEN REQUESTING, VIA RIGHT-TO-KNOW LAW, ALL CONSTRUCTION DOCUMENTS RELATED TO NORTHEAST INSPECTION SERVICES FOR 2015. FROM: LACKAWANNA COUNTY 911 REGARDING AMBULANCE DISPATCH ( SEE ITEM #1, NEW BUSINESS). SOLICITOR SENT LETTERS TO THOSE WITH BALANCES DENOTING THE ACTION TO BE TAKEN TO COLLECT THE BALANCE. SOLICITOR TO COMMENT.

7. ABANDONED HOUSE ON 2 JEFFERSON STREET. AWAITING REPLY FROM THE MORTGAGE HOLDER.

8. CLEANUP OF BROWN FIELDS. SOLICITOR TO CONTACT PROPERTY OWNERS AND REQUEST INTENTIONS.

9. MIDLAND STREET BRIDGE. PENDOT CONTRACTOR WILL INSPECT THE BRIDGE SOMETIME. BRIDGE REPLACEMENT WILL BE A MAJOR COST TO THE TOWNSHIP. WE WILL PLAN FOR THAT EVENT. PRESENTLY, THERE IS NO ALTERNATE ROUTE TO MIDLAND STREET. SUPERVISORS HAVE IDENTIFIED AN ALTERNATE ROUTE FROM DUNDAFF STREET IN CARBONDALE WHICH MAY BE PRACTICAL.

10. RENTAL HOUSE ANNUAL REPORT. SOME STILL NOT RECEIVED. IF YOU DO NOT OCCUPY THE RESIDENCE A REPORT IS REQUIRED ANNUALLY. THIS INCLUDES AN OCCUPANCY PERMIT.

11. UNAUTHORIZED USE OF PROPERTY FOR AN AUTO STORAGE FACILITY ON MAIN STREET. SOLICITOR TO COMMENT. MOTION BY ANN MARIE, SEC BY JOE, CARRIED 3/0 TO FILE CHARGES.

NEW BUSINESS

1. AMBULANCE DISPATCHING PROTOCOL BY 911. THE COUNTY IS DISPATCHING AMBULANCES VIA GPS TRACKING. THIS MEANS THAT THE NEAREST AMBULANCE WILL BE DISPATCHED TO EACH CALL . THE COUNTY STATES THAT ACCORDING TO PA LAW IF OUR MUNICIPALITY ENTERS INTO AN AGREEMENT FOR AMBULANCE SERVICES WITH A PRIVATE PROVIDER , THE COUNTY MUST DISPATCH THAT PROVIDER EVEN IF ANOTHER UNIT NOT AFFILIATED WITH THAT PROVIDER IS LOCATED CLOSER TO THE CALL. COUNTY 911 DOES NOT RECOMMEND THE SELECTION OF A SINGLE AMBULANCE PROVIDER. DISCUSSION?

2. UTILITY GARAGE FOR TOWNSHIP. THE PLANNED GARAGE IS 20 FEET WIDE BY 32 FEET LONG. IT WILL HOUSE EQUIPMENT AND A SECTION WILL BE PROVIDED TO STORE DECORATIVE LIGHTING. THE BUILDING WILL BE BUILT BY TOWNSHIP CREW. THE CONCRETE FLOOR AND SIDE WALL ARE COMPLETED. THE ROOF SYSTEM REMAINS. A STEEL ROOF AND SIDE WALLS ARE RECOMMENDED TO MATCH THE OTHER BUILDINGS. THE COST IS ABOUT THE SAME IF INSTALLED BY TOWNSHIP CREW. DISCUSSION? MOTION? STEEL BY JOE, ANN MARIE, CARRIED 3/0.

3. UGI WILL BEGIN EXCAVATION AT THE MORSE AVENUE BRIDGE TO INSTALL A NEW GAS LINE IN SUPPORT OF A PROJECT IN WAYMART. IT WILL LAST ABOUT TWO MONTHS.

4. DIMES FROM HEAVEN REQUESTS TOWNSHIP SUPPORT FOR A GRANT REQUEST FROM PA DEPARTMENT OF COMMUNITY AND ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT (DCED) TO RENOVATE THE COMMUNITY CENTER AT THE OLD FELL SCHOOL. THE RENOVATIONS WILL INCLUDE BATHROOM FACILITIES, CORRIDORS AND ENTRANCES, NEW CEILINGS AND THE EXISTING GYMNASIUM. DISCUSSION? RESOLUTION? ANN MARIE., JOE CARRIED 3/0.
